If you are a United States military veteran pursuing your first undergraduate degree, this scholarship is intended to recognize and support your academic goals. While the GI Bill provides important educational benefits, the HOFV Higher Education Scholarship offers supplemental financial assistance to help veterans overcome additional financial barriers as they transition from military service to higher education. This scholarship is exclusively for veterans who are enrolled in or accepted to a college or university and are working toward their first undergraduate (bachelor’s) degree. Two (2) awards of $2,000 will be granted for the 2026 academic year.
THE U.S. ARMY MASTER SERGEANT JIMMIE QUINTERO SCHOLARSHIP
The Master Sergeant Jimmie Quintero Scholarship proudly honors the legacy of a dedicated American hero by supporting the next generation of military service members. This prestigious scholarship will be awarded to a Texas high school senior who has officially committed to enlist in any branch of the United States Armed Forces upon graduation. Applicants must provide proof of enlistment or a signed enlistment contract. In 2026, four scholarships will be awarded, each in the amount of $500.
