— Peer-to-Peer Support Groups for Veterans and Loved Ones —

A free, worldwide, peer-to-peer virtual support group for all veterans, offering confidential and anonymous help for those living with PTSD.

The Courage to Connect: PTSD virtual Zoom meetings provide a safe, supportive, and confidential space for all veterans to share, connect, and feel understood.

When we say ALL VETERANS, we mean veterans of every age, generation, military branch, rank, background, and circumstance. Regardless of when, where, or how long you served, you are welcome here.

  • Meetings are confidential and never recorded. Participants may use their first names only, remain anonymous, join by video or audio, or simply listen. No registration is required, and veterans may join freely at any time.
  • Hosted by Hats Off For Veterans volunteers and veteran peers, each session encourages trust, empathy, and open conversation without judgment.
  • These meetings focus on peer support, not treatment, and offer veterans an opportunity to share experiences, discuss coping strategies, and connect with others who understand.
  • Meetings are held virtually through Zoom, allowing veterans to participate from anywhere with internet access.
  • Meetings are held monthly on the FIRST MONDAY at 7:00 PM CST via Zoom. Participation is always optional.
  • If there is no activity by 8:00 PM CST, the meeting will close and resume the following month.

Virtual support group for those grieving PTSD by proxy and suicide loss.

Virtual support group for those who love someone with PTSD or are grieving a suicide loss. You’re not alone. Let’s connect, share, and heal together.

PTSD By Proxy is a free, confidential, peer-to-peer virtual support group for ANYONE living with or caring for someone with PTSD. We also welcome Survivors of Suicide (SOS) who have lost a loved one to PTSD. It provides a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space to connect with others who understand the challenges PTSD can bring to families, relationships, and everyday life.

This group is for everyone, not just veterans, military families, or the military community. We especially welcome first responders and their families, as well as people from all backgrounds and communities affected by a loved one’s PTSD.

  • Meetings are held monthly on the THIRD WEDNESDAY at 10:00 AM CST via Zoom. Participation is always optional, join by video, audio, or simply listen.
  • This groupis hosted by Hats Off For Veterans volunteers and peers. Similiar to the veteran's group, each session encourages trust, empathy, and open conversation without judgment.
  • These meetings focus on peer support, not treatment, and provide a safe space for family members, caregivers, first responders, and others affected by a loved one’s PTSD to share their experiences, discuss coping strategies, and connect with people who understand.
  • If there is no activity by 10:30 AM CST, the meeting will close and resume the following month.

You are not alone either. Together, we can heal through community.
