Mindy is a proud Air Force brat. She grew up on various military bases throughout her dad’s career. She started elementary school on Clark Air Base, Philippines, and graduated high school in Greenacres, Florida. Mindy continued the legacy by serving in the Air Force for 28 years. She served in the administrative career field and held various leadership positions throughout her career. She deployed to Panama, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan and completed a one-year remote assignment in Pakistan. She completed her BS and MBA in Human Resource Management during her career. After retiring in 2023, Mindy and her husband of 30+ years, Jim, decided to make Texas their home.
Mindy is currently an Outreach Coordinator with CHRISTUS. She educates the military community about the US Family Health Plan, another TRICARE Prime option available in specific zip codes. She is responsible for Hays County, Bell County, and other locations. Mindy is also working on another MBA. She is an online University of Florida student majoring in marketing.
Mindy and Jim have two sons. The oldest is serving in the Air Force and is stationed at a base in San Antonio with his wife and daughter. Their youngest son is in the Space Force and is currently stationed in Germany. Mindy and her husband enjoy being outdoors, traveling, meeting new people, and spending family time together.
